5 Days Kibale, Chimpanzee & Gorilla Habituation Tour Itinerary:-
Day 1: Kampala – Kibale National Park
Leave Kampala after breakfast for the fascinating drive through papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Nile Delta to Kibale National Park just under the Rwenzori mountains. Afternoon guided walk in the crater lakes area of the park for outstanding cultural visit.
Dinner and overnight stay at Kyaninga Lodge/Ndali Lodge (luxury facility) or Primate Lodge/Forest Cottage (mid-range) or Chimpanzee Guest House (budget facility). A stunning location overlooking a dramatic crater lake and the fabled ‘Mountains of the Moon’. Meal plan: lunch & dinner.
Day 2: Kibale Chimpanzee Habituation Experience
Today is dedicated for a luxury chimpanzee habituation experience. Start the day with an early morning breakfast and packed lunch before dawn breaks. You’ll first meet your guide for a briefing and then you are off to where the chimpanzees built nests the night before, in the forest. Dawn is just breaking and the chimpanzee community you are going to be with the rest of the day is rising from their sleep in the nests.
Your day will be full so your camera will fill up with quality pictures of the chimpanzees. You will also get a chance to learn to identify as individuals by their markings, sometimes scars and other unique features set them apart from rest.
Besides everything described, there are the most colorful butterflies, plants and trees that will amaze you because the forest setting is simply awesome.

Day 3: Kibale – Bwindi – Part of 5 Days Kibale Chimpanzee & Gorilla Habituation
After breakfast, you will proceed to Bwindi via Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, you will spot many wildlife including elephants, and buffaloes, among others. This is the lushest highland rainforest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps.
Dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla Safari Lodge (high-end) or Chameleon Hill Lodge (mid-range facility) or Gorilla Valley Lodge (budget facility). Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 4: Bwindi Gorilla Habituation Experience
Begin the day with breakfast as you get ready for your gorilla habituation experience, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the staff of Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA). Ensure that you carry along with you a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, and jungle boots among others.
Join the researchers and guides who will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy primates for a group you have been booked for.
Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare mountain gorillas – perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The gorilla habituation experience usually takes a full day, but it’s well worth the effort.

Day 5: Bwindi – Kampala/Entebbe
