    4 Days Uganda Gorilla Tour Itinerary:-

    Day 1: Kampala – Half day Visit Ngamba Chimpanzee Island

    After your morning breakfast you will get ready for a transfer to Entebbe mainland to board a speed boat to Ngamba Island. The island is a chimpanzee sanctuary managed by the Jane Goodall Institute. You will enjoy an the afternoon feeding session of the chimpanzees from the visitors’ platform area along the edge of the sanctuary fence, as you listen to informative talks by the staff.

    Orphaned and injured chimps are taken care of from this place, most especially those that are infants and cannot take care of themselves. A round tour of the Island is a must with lunch at the Sanctuary. Thereafter you will return by the speed boat to the mainland and then be transferred to Kampala.

    Overnight stay and meals at Serena Kampala Hotel (high-end) or Cassia Lodge (mid-range) or Forest Cottages Kampala (budget facility). Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Day 2: Kampala – Bwindi (Travel Time +8 hrs)

    Our guide/driver picks you at 7:00 am from your hotel or place of residence in Kampala. You will drive to Mbarara, that is 283 km from Kampala, via Masaka. Make a first stop over at Equator crossing line for snacks and photography.

    You will then proceed with a visit to Igongo Cultural Village, for a more rewarding and amazing experience as you visit this Ankole museum. Get your lunch break at Agip Motel Mbarara, and thereafter lunch proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This is the lushest highland rainforest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps.

    Dinner and overnight stay at either Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany Springs/Gorilla Safari Lodge (high-end facility) or Silverback Lodge/Chameleon Hill Lodge (mid-range) or Buhoma Community Bandas/Wagtail Eco Camp (budget facility). Meal plan: lunch and dinner.

    Day 3: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking – Part of 4 Days Uganda Gorilla Tour

    Begin the day with breakfast as you get ready for your gorilla trekking experience, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the staff of Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA). Ensure that you carry along with you a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, and jungle boots among others.

    The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy primates for a group you have been booked for.

    Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare mountain gorillas – perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. Gorilla tracking may take between 2 to 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort.

    The afternoon on a Batwa village visit. The Batwa cultural experience gives you a great opportunity to see how the Batwa people live.  It also is a great way to support their community since they were evicted from the forest.

    The walk begins after a briefing from your guide at your lodge and is most informative, rewarding to the every visitor. It will amaze you how resourceful the local people are as you see and learn their ways of life.

    Dinner and overnight stay at either Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany Springs/Gorilla Safari Lodge (high-end facility) or Silverback Lodge/Chameleon Hill Lodge (mid-range) or Buhoma Community Bandas/Wagtail Eco Camp (budget facility). Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Day 4: Bwindi – Kampala (Travel Time +8 hrs)

    After your morning breakfast, you will drive back to Kampala using Kasese-Fort Portal road via Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy an en-route game viewing, and if you are lucky you may spot the elephants, antelopes, and warthogs among others.

    Don’t miss a stop over at the Equator crossing line in Kasese with lunch en-route. Enjoy the winding scenery of the foothills of Rwenzori mountains, before arriving in Fort Portal. Then later on be transferred back to Kampala or Entebbe. Meal plan: breakfast and lunch.
