    Bweza Gorilla Lodge

    This phenomenal lodge is comfortably nestled at the border of Bwindi, the primeval jungle in the southwestern side of Uganda. While trekking the mountain gorillas, on forest walks, birding tours, community walks, or photography, staying at Bweza Gorilla Lodge will spice up your experience.

    The lodge is one of the few strategically located accommodation facilities in the park.     Bweza Gorilla Lodge accommodation options

    This secluded Bweza Gorilla Lodge features 5 beautiful individual rooms that can accommodate up to 10 guests per night. Each of these rooms was built with uniquely comfortable architecture and has a private wooden balcony that faces the lush jungles of Bwindi.

    Additionally, the lodge is solar-powered hence lighting and heating in the rooms are done with environmentally-friendly energy. Also present in the rooms are en-suite bathrooms with cold/hot showers as well as flush toilets.

    Each of the five rooms is incredibly designed in form of stand-alone log cabins that perfectly blend into the natural environment of a lush rainforest. This thus makes the lodge similar to its surrounding. Some of the rooms have deep-set stand-alone baths as well as warm fireplaces.

    Getting to the Lodge

    Kisoro, the nearest town to Bweza Gorilla Lodge can be reached by both road and air transport. For air, you can take a flight from Entebbe International Airport to Kisoro airstrip, which are arranged by either Aerolink or Bar Aviation. This takes about one and a half hours. From Kisoro, it will take you another one and a half to two hours to get to the lodge by road.

    By road, it takes between 8 – 9 hours to drive from Entebbe, through Kampala – Mbarara – Kisoro highway and then to Bweza Gorilla Lodge.
